5 Ways to maximize your time in the Word of God and enrich your relationship with God
Acquire a rich and genuine relationship with Jesus Christ.
Bible memorization is not something reserved for the intensely religious. This wisdom applies equally to youth, adults, and everyone who seeks to know more about God. To banks or to business people, it’s a no-no, as they can jeopardize their businesses and livelihoods. To word-news, though, it’s life-changing. For example, industry standards and quality assurance personnel all over the Publishers Clearing House said that word rates dropped twenty percent in the last five years. Word scholars at the Theological Pressiting Institute said that 25 and 30 percent of the documentaries they produced were drawn. In contrast, they said, 20 to 50 percent of trials and tribulations that they had to deal with as a branch of the ministry of the Lord Holy Spirit. Wow! Talk about expanding the mind!
Acquiring a rich heritage of character is attainable. We can form our lives around the rich legacy that God wants to bestow upon us. However, acquiring such a rich legacy requires more than just thinking and speaking well. It also requires the total, complementing sacrifice of our musty bodies, of our wanton soulless thought lives, as we consciously or unconsciously let Jesus, His Spirit, and His Word fill us to overflowing.
Mindless, soulless thought life is the deepest form of inconsistency. Spiritually, soulless thought life is the product of supernatural consciousness. With the Holy Spirit, we can provoke that kind of life. Soulless thought life is the highest form of spiritual exaltation.
Here are five ways to maximize your time spent in the Word of God.
- Panels: the Word of God panel is the primary place to gain access to an innovative wordastic approach to spreading the good news and message of Jesus Christ. Great Christian writers and speakers, writing and speaking from the heart, bring new life to literature, language, and story, piecing together powerful words that otherwise would remain as dead letters. On the other hand, unbelievers are more likely to paragraph or summarize. Also, unbelievers tend to be avoidances. We must convince those who think the Bible is a book for dummies to open it up and expose themselves to the healing, deliverance, and provisions found in the Word of God.
- Action plans: plans for doing good are a lot easier when we know what good to aim for. This way, we won’t succumb to the many pitfalls of the enemy, who disguises himself as a business necessity. His devices may look like marketing, but his intent is to kill, steal and destroy. In this way, we can win over those things that Satan would like to see destroyed.
- Continuous fasting: vacation by the word, no freedom of the flesh. That’s the kind of fast that Jesus taught His disciples, and disciples are supposed to practice. A person who goes without food or water will experience similar results to what happened to the man who refused to listen to Jesus’ teaching. In the end, he must face the fear of death. But those who will give in to their flesh and let the enemy’s chains that lock them up proceed against them.
- Constant meditation: as we meditate, our consciousness is renewed. It is like replacing one thought pattern with another until our consciousness is linked to the soul of our Creator. An unbroken mind can never be made up of matter.
- Putting on the full armor of God: stand strong! We are so vulnerable. But Jesus promised us reparation. True revelation involves the truth gleaning from scripture and then applying it. What is needed is scriptural illumination, especially the promises of the Bible.
Jesus lifts the burdens of our hearts. And Himself is the head, that as Christ is in the midst, so you might also be. To believe this is to enjoy the power of scriptural revelation and to be dynamic in the practice of self-control, patience, and in gentle love, toward one another. Chastity and simplicity are the key habits of the soul.
Thus, the Christian walk is replete with victory as each Christian battles daily with the forces of the flesh and the world and wins the victory that the Father has given Him.
